A hearty thank you to all the devs, betas

A hearty thank you to all the devs, betas and others that made a legendary game!

I first played this game in Dec of 2002 and was instantly hooked. The gameplay, well thought out maps (for the most part), the realism and of course the community. The only reason this isn't the most celebrated first person shooter of all time is because the studio didn't keep score with cash receipts.

Thank you, to all the devs and betas who churned out this adrenaline fueled shooter and kept turning up the talent and heat to create maps like Pipeline, Hospital and MOUT. I've been coming to this game for my daily dose of adrenaline for twenty years and I am sad to see it end without fireworks and alcohol before July 4th 2022. Maybe a party in Vegas with dancing bears and whatever you kids are into these days.

Take a bow guys and gals. Besides creating one of the ultimate FPS you introduced the largest organization in the world to things like using game technology to train soldiers, create and test weaponry and probably hundreds of instances of improvement that I am not privy to. The United States Army owes you a debt and without a doubt you will be remembered as the cats and kittens who ushered in an era of high technology at the soldier level.

Good luck with your future endeavors, your projects, your jobs and your life. I wish you all the best as you head out in your civvies and face a world where your understated importance is a badge to be worn proudly while your retail peers only accomplishments will fit on their CV. You all did this, and it's been great. From the depths of my soul as a gamer I want to thank you for your efforts.

X2 Devs & Betas

Great having real military guys playing, as they were always courteous and professional to the rest of players; they did the Army right.

The late evening and overnight crew were a tough bunch, as I would be VERY lucky to get a handful of kills per match. Later on, I ventured onto Euro servers and would get 20+ kills at times. This hardcore group made me a better player, which I hardly noticed in the carnage.

Looking forward to the AA series announcement ...
